We have been given an opportunity to partner with LSU-Shreveport and the Louisiana Department of Health to offer weekly COVID testing to our students while they are at school with parent permission. This program is voluntary, but is a good opportunity for your child to be tested weekly at no cost to you.
Annual enrollment for the 2022 plan year begins October 1, 2021 and runs through November 15, 2021. Members can visit the OGB Annual Enrollment website for more information on their 2022 plan year benefits at annualenrollment.groupbenefits.org. Copies of the Annual Enrollment guide, benefit comparisons, rates and information from our vendors are available on the annual enrollment website along with recorded and printable versions of the annual enrollment presentations. Additionally, all annual enrollment videos are available on the OGB YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/channel/UCbYwtQ0Oe4lbRQ7wz_KdVFw/featured.
IMPORTANT: If a member would like to remain in their current OGB health plan with the same covered dependents for the 2022 plan year, they do not need to do anything. Their coverage will continue for the 2022 plan year. (Members enrolled in the HSA and/or FSA options MUST update their contributions for 2022.)
If you have any questions, please contact OGB customer service at 1-800-272-8451.
Parents: Does your child need to speak with a counselor? Is he or she feeling depressed or overly emotional during these trying times? Send a message now to be contacted by a counselor.
Welcome to the Tensas Parish School Board website. I hope you find the website to be very helpful and useful. This website is constantly changing and evolving, so please check back on a regular basis. It is meant to serve you and we welcome your suggestions for its improvement. Although, we are one of the state’s smallest school systems we are one of only three school districts in Louisiana whose test scores have not decreased during the COVID pandemic. We are working very hard to keep our students in school and to follow all of the CDC and LDH recommendations for a clean and safe learning environment. Working with our parents and community we feel as though we can provide them with a quality education in a safe environment.
We value your input, so please feel free to contact me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org should you have any comments, suggestions, or questions.
On behalf of our school board and school system employees, I wish you a great 2021-2022 school year and want you to know that we will continue to encourage students to read…EVERYDAY.
Paul E. Nelson, Ph.D., Superintendent
